The Next Economies Summit 2025, happening 2-14 September, at Kadir Has University in Istanbul, stands as a beacon for organisations and individuals committed to reimagining our economic systems. Under the “United Next Economies” theme, this event connects global changemakers addressing root causes of current challenges. Organised by Türetim Ekonomisi Derneği (Prosumer Economy Society) with Kadir Has University and local and global partners, including ECOnGOOD.

The summit creates a unique platform for cross-pollination of ideas amongst movements, organisations, leaders, investors, and policymakers. At the heart of the summit lies a critical understanding: the climate, biodiversity, and social crises we face today stem fundamentally from flaws in our current economic paradigm. The gathering acknowledges that meaningful solutions require systemic economic transformation rather than superficial adjustments.

With panels and discussions featuring representatives from organisations like Post Growth Institute, and Doughnut Economics Action Lab, participants will explore concrete pathways towards building economic models that prioritise wellbeing over endless growth. The programme features a rich tapestry of sessions, including “Post-Growth-Inspired Businesses for the Next Economies” and “Movements and Systems,” designed to foster collaboration across different approaches to economic transformation. Sophie Gripenberg, Communication Manager, Science & Research and EU Policy Coordinator at ECOnGOOD International will participate in multiple panels, highlighting how the Economy for Common Good contributes to the broader shift towards wellbeing economics.

Solidarity tickets are available to ensure diverse participation. Learn more and register at nexteconomies.net. The summit offers networking, learning, and collective action opportunities for creating economies serving people and planet.
