The Alternative Economic And Monetary Systems (AEMS) programme returns to Vienna from July 14 to August 1, 2025, offering an innovative three-week program exploring transformative approaches to economic thinking. This unique educational experience brings together students and professionals worldwide to engage with cutting-edge concepts in sustainable economics, degrowth, and social innovation.

AEMS has built an impressive global network of nearly 500 alumni across 80 nations, fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange. The program combines academic rigor with practical applications, offering 5 ECTS credits for participating students. Beyond the classroom, participants engage in extra-curricular activities, including sports events and traditional Austrian dinners, creating meaningful connections with fellow participants.

The program features a holistic approach to restructuring economic and financial systems within planetary boundaries. Participants explore groundbreaking concepts including the Economy for the Common Good (ECG), Doughnut Economics, Degrowth, and sovereign money through interactive sessions and workshops.  Participants interested in alternative economic approaches can look forward to an enriching experience as part of a vibrant international community.
