Over the years, democracy has changed from a common goal to a common risk. While declining in many parts of the world, citizen participation remains crucial: it not only drives change in economic systems but is also a core pillar of future-fit economic models.
Prominent speakers João Guilherme Santos, Director of Technology at Instituto Democracia em Xeque (DX) and researcher in digital democracy; and Economy for the Common Good founder Christian Felber, will delve into this pressing topic, discussing how shifts in democracy are shaping our economies and explore the connections between the economy, environment, globalization, and emerging forms of civic engagement.
The session will be moderated by Sophie Gripenberg, Communication Manager, Science & Research and EU Policy Coordinator at ECOnGOOD.
