A company utilising the ECOnGOOD Label has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious German Sustainability Award 2024 (Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis), the most significant sustainability accolade in Germany and one of the most prominent in Europe. The final award ceremony will take place on 28 November 2024 in Düsseldorf, with an expected attendance of 3,000 people.

The ECOnGOOD label is a groundbreaking initiative that offers a holistic approach to sustainability. It enables consumers to transparently recognise a company’s contribution to the common good right at the shelf. The label employs QR code technology to provide easy access to detailed information about the product’s sustainability credentials.

Voelkel GmbH, the largest organic juice factory in Germany, and the company behind this achievement, has been recognised for their product “Green Energy” in the “Society” transformation field. This innovative product is among the first in the world to feature the ECOnGOOD Label, as it was part of the pilot project before the official launch in February this year.

This nomination underscores the growing importance of transparent, holistic sustainability practices in business and showcases the potential of the ECOnGOOD Label in driving positive change in the industry.
