The Economy for the Common Good International Conference (ECGIC) is a crucial event in the field of sustainable economics. It serves as a hub for fostering academic discourse on the Economy for the Common Good (ECG) model, promoting mutual inspiration between similar approaches, and providing fresh ideas for ECG practitioners.

The conference brings together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and students in a transdisciplinary setting, aiming to create long-term dialogue and collaboration. Previous editions have been held in Bremen (2019), Valencia (2022), and Leeuwarden (2024), each contributing significantly to the advancement of the ECG model.

Now, the ECOnGOOD international Science & Research Hub is seeking interested organisations to host the fourth edition of ECGIC in Spring 2026. This call for hosts is open to all academic and research institutions globally, regardless of their prior involvement with the ECG movement. Applications from Global South institutions are strongly encouraged to ensure diverse perspectives and global representation.

Potential hosts are invited to submit their declarations of interest by 31st January 2025. The application should include details such as a description of the institution, proposed conference theme, potential keynote speakers, logistics information, and strategies for inclusivity. The ECOnGOOD will provide support in various aspects, including access to their science community, content organisation, and financial contribution.

This call for hosts represents an exciting opportunity for institutions passionate about sustainable economics to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the common good economy. The ECGIC 2026 aims to continue the interdisciplinary approach of previous events while fostering dialogue between the ECOnGOOD organisation, the ECG model, and other real economic theories.
